Safety Culture Assessment & Action Planning
Based on global best practices in safety management, our assessment provides an in-depth review of 5 critical elements necessary to achieve safety excellence. Strengths, opportunities and recommendations will be identified, documented and scored in comparison to industry best practices. After completing the assessment, a practical action plan to address gaps and opportunities will be developed in partnership with your leadership team.
Behavior Based Safety Implementation
Behavior Based Safety is a one-on-one observation + feedback approach designed to reduce unsafe workplace behaviors. This data driven method will deliver sustainable results in a structured and collaborative environment. Our program takes a holistic approach to process improvement and incorporates the Human & Organizational Performance (HOP) methodology. Our comprehensive package includes a complete BBS rollout plan, observer training, and implementation of necessary changes.
Human and Organizational Performance (HOP)
HOP uses social science methodology to evaluate why workers behave a certain way with regards to errors, risk taking and unsafe behaviors. The primary focus is on the work process and environment to identify the motivation behind these behaviors. Focusing on systems and processes, rather than the individual worker, fosters an environment of continuous improvement to reduce the chance of injury. Combined with Behavior Based Safety (BBS), this powerful 1-2 punch will deliver amazing results.
Communications Strategy and Metrics Development
Numbers tell the story in today’s business and having meaningful metrics is critical to effectively manage safety in your operation. We go beyond traditional lagging indicators and guide you in developing a data driven, targeted approach that quickly identifies concerns so you can take actions to reduce the risk of injury.
Having an effective communications strategy is critical when building a culture of safety excellence. We'll design a customized safety reporting and messaging program to increase employee awareness and engagement with safety on a regular basis.
Safety Tools Training
Our hands-on training offers your team the opportunity to immerse themselves in real world problems during the class. Participants will conduct brainstorming exercises to identify actual opportunities to apply these tools in your operation, so they can hit the ground running to make quick improvements. Classes and project based training range from 1/2 day in length to several months of ongoing project work (Lean/Six Sigma).
